Waiverly is committed to making our directory usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. Accessibility is central to our mission of helping individuals, families, caregivers, and professionals find disability services and community resources.
How We Approach Accessibility
We aim to align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA and build the platform with accessibility in mind, including:
- Semantic, keyboard-navigable page structure,
- Visible focus states for interactive elements,
- Readable color contrast and scalable text,
- Descriptive labels for links, buttons, and form fields.
Ongoing Work
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We continue to review and improve the platform, and parts of the site may not yet fully meet every standard. We welcome the chance to fix issues as we learn about them.
